Mission

Adega Cooperativa de Favaios aims to continue developing the consumption and image of Moscatel de Favaios as one of the most important categories of wines – nationally and internationally. It also aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of its members and to be one of the most important centres of regional development.

Vision

Adega de Favaios aims to lead innovation in regards to muscatel wine in order to provide unique experiences to the consumer and to develop a diversified and complementary portfolio of wines.

The quality of the Adega de Favaios products and services has always been a top priority. To achieve excellence, the winery has set up a department which is responsible for the quality of the various areas of activity, creating policies based on quality that have been implemented in order to comply with the demands of the market. The main goal of this department is to ensure strict compliance with all standards and procedures at all stages of the production process in order to guarantee the maximum satisfaction of our customers and suppliers.

Adega de Favaios recognizes that a solid Quality Policy is a fundamental instrument of its strategy and, as such, a success factor for its operations.

Our aim is to:

Increase production and commercialization in accordance with established procedures as well as existing legal and contractual requirements, investing in new technologies and manufacturing processes, obeying the principles of economic and financial rationality and social, and environmental effectiveness;

Value the commitment and contribution of all employees, providing a healthy and motivating work environment. Encourage and value teamwork, thereby continuously improving the effectiveness of the management processes;

Ensure compliance with legislation regarding hygiene and food safety by the HACCP methodology;

  Implement, review, and communicate this policy to all employees and associates;

 Optimize the cost structure;

  Meet our customers' needs and expectations.

This policy is controlled by documents and it is also under the supervision of the management, thereby stimulating continuous improvement.

Social responsability

As a cooperative, Adega de Favaios is one of the economic and social pillars in Favaios.

By significantly supporting tourism, several partnerships are strengthened. An example of this is the collaboration with the Museu do Pão e do Vinho (Bread and Wine Museum), the Festival do Moscatel (Muscat festival), and other popular festivals. Our social responsibility also prompts us to help causes related to the most unprotected population, as well as causes related to diseases such as cancer and sclerosis.

The association One Click for ELA (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), where Gina Francisco is the ambassador for Adega de Favaios.
